Pesticon Celebrates 25 Years of Pest Control Experience as an A+ BBB Accredited Business

Pesticon Pest Control has been serving customers since 2001. That's 25 years of pest control experience across Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area. Pesticon is also an A+ rated BBB Accredited Business, and this month BBB Serving Central Ontario, the region's Better Business Bureau office, sent us an anniversary message of congratulations.

On 14 October 2026, BBB Serving Central Ontario sent our founder, Waheed Ahmed, an anniversary message, with Pesticon's A+ rating at the top. It closed by wishing us:

We're grateful for that. We're grateful too for the customers who have trusted us with their homes and businesses since 2001.

Who we are

Pesticon was founded by Waheed Ahmed, who holds Ontario exterminator licence L-206-3036976351 and trained in agricultural science, with a Master's degree from the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad. Our team includes licensed exterminators and an entomologist, Iftikhar Khan. That training shapes how we work: we identify the pest first, then choose a treatment that suits the pest and the space.

We handle both residential pest control and commercial pest control. Our most common calls are for:

• bed bugs, including heat treatment
• mice and rats
• cockroaches
• ants, including carpenter ants
• wasp nests, hornets and bees
• termites
• humane wildlife removal for raccoons, squirrels and other animals

For businesses, we work with restaurants, food plants, hotels, healthcare facilities, offices, warehouses and other commercial properties.

What BBB accreditation means for you

BBB accreditation isn't an award, and it isn't automatic. To be accredited, a business must agree to meet BBB's Standards for Trust and keep meeting them. In BBB's words, "Not all businesses will qualify for BBB Accreditation." The standards include:

• Build trust: a track record in the marketplace, all required trade licences, and at least a B rating with BBB.
• Advertise honestly and tell the truth: clear, accurate claims about services and terms.
• Be transparent: say who owns the business, where it is and how to reach it, and disclose the terms that matter to a customer.
• Honour promises: do what was agreed.
• Be responsive: answer complaints BBB forwards, quickly and in good faith, and work toward a fair resolution.
• Safeguard privacy: protect customers' personal information.
• Embody integrity: act in good faith in every dealing.

BBB charges accredited businesses a fee. BBB says the fee supports its work to build trust in the marketplace.

What the A+ rating means. BBB grades businesses from A+ (highest) to F. A rating is BBB's opinion of how a business is likely to treat its customers. It's based on complaint history, time in business, transparency, licensing and government actions, and advertising. Customer reviews aren't used to calculate the letter grade. BBB also says a rating is not a guarantee of a business's reliability, and recommends weighing it with everything else you know about the company.
